Review of Kidnap (2017) by Bl 1 — 03 Aug 2017

I just watched Halle Berry in Kidnap! Halle Berry played a fierce mother (Karla) determined to rescue her son (Frankie) and kick some kidnapper butt - and she did! This is not a kidnap movie to be watched on a small screen.

There is too much action for a small screen. This movie was made to be watched on a huge Cinemax screen so that you see and feel all the action, head-clocking, and terror a movie parent experiences when their movie kid is in peril! The adults, teens, and tweens in the Cinema were squirming, yelling, and cheering for Karla and Frankie.

And, the theater was packed for Halle's movie and I heard nothing but good talk about this movie. What keeps me from giving this film a near perfect score is the slightly grainy look it had on-screen.

Even so, I rate this film high for being well acted and very suspenseful!
