Kidnap is a typical bad movie that has some fun moments, but is really dumb. Halle Berry is good in the lead role. Her character, on the other hand, is not the brightest tool in the shed. She makes constant dumb decisions.
The film itself is unabashedly stupid and over the top. A ton of things happen that just don't make sense. And there is some dumb fun to be had with this movie. Unfortunately, a lot of this movie is just plain dumb.
The third act is incredibly dumb. A lot of this movie is unrealistic to the point where it stops being funny. Overall, the movie has some dumb fun in it and delivers some thrills. Unfortunately, the film is too over the top and features some dumb decisions made by the characters.
The film isn't as awful as expected, but it's still pretty bad. I did laugh a lot though.
