Review of Kick-Ass (2010) by Frank C — 23 May 2013

For me, this movie stands out starkly in my mind thanks to the scene in which Cage's character enters the warehouse and, in a single cut, takes out the entire place with bullets and flames. I will never forget the feeling I had in the theater when I first saw that scene; it was one of the most visceral feelings I've ever experienced during a film, as though I had lost control of conscious limits of reality and wanted to enter the video game alongside Big Daddy and take out the bad-guys with him.

I was left breathless and sweating afterwards, and that sticks with me to this day.
