Review of Kick-Ass (2010) by Michael H — 09 May 2014
Watchmen for the 21st Century. I really liked the badass fight sequences, the Peter Parker-esque story of Kick-Ass, and the strong portrayal of Hit Girl as pretty much a female version of The Punisher.
Nicolas Cage appears to take a role away from someone who actually deserves it, but the movie holds up nonetheless. The best part of the movie, naturally, was the rocket pwning the big boss; best explosion death ever.
Definitely going to be looking for the sequel.
