Review of Key Largo (1948) by Paul C — 10 Jan 2009
Claustrophobic thriller with an awesome cast all at the top of their game - particularly the weasel-like Mob boss Edward G Robinson. As ever Bogart is superb particularly in the scenes where he plays against type - and I dont think i've seen Lauren Bacall look better.
Trivia note: The fishing boat 'Santana', featured in the film's finale, was named after Bogart's own yacht.
