Review of Kes (1970) by Philip F — 27 Apr 2011
Saw this in 1970 at the cinema in the town where I grew up - Sheffield and at first thought it was a documentary. a film about alienation between family, the system and ourselves. I remember loving it so much I went again the week after to see it again.
The original novel by Barry Hines is great too, with a bittersweet ending not used in the fim.
