Review of Kes (1970) by Filiberto G — 06 Nov 2011
I'm not typically a huge fan of the coming-of-age movie but this one left me devastated. Director Loach really gives you a feel for the working class pessimism of Northern England and the struggles of young Billy Casper.
The scenes with the kestrel are nothing short of fantastic.
