Review of Kes (1970) by Paula M — 18 Nov 2007
Brilliant and accurate slice of life in 60's northern England. Though almost all of the actors were picked from the local area and had never acted before this film, the performances are incredibly nuanced and real.
When I see the film now, it holds up as one of the best films in British moviemaking history.
