Review of Keeping Up with the Joneses (2016) by Billy W — 01 Nov 2016
While all of the characters are appealing, likable and easy to root for and get invested in, it never hits its stride in being consistently funny. It's not boring, with Jon Hamm and Gal Gadot being especially entertaining, but you know where it's going in every scene and with it's plot and it rushes its ending.
It needed a villain, needed to play up the other neighbors more and for the most part just needed to be more daring and bold. Not bad, but a forgettable missed opportunity.
