Review of Keeping Mum (2005) by Amanda H — 21 Jul 2009
Very funny dark English comedy. I LOVE Maggie Smith-- she is terrific (SO different from what I've seen her in before). This movie was THE most Rowan Atkinson has ever talked in a movie I've seen. And Kristin Scott Thomas was just GREAT. There were some definite (and disappointing) plot holes, and it was pretty predictable- but I recommend it because the cast was good and most of the funny quirkiness that only comes from English dark comedies.
(And that reading from the bible was HOT. Totally made me want to read it... not to be pervy or anything.).
