Review of Keanu (2016) by Joey T — 28 Apr 2016
I rarely give a movie a higher rating than it already has on RT but I am shocked to see it's percentile in the 70's. Maybe because very few people have seen it? If you know Key and Peele at all, and appreciate their comedy it's sometimes the laugh till you pee yourself, spot on impressions, social statements and current events, or highlighting ridiculous cultural trends, living in different worlds, mixed with totally random things they happen to like such as horror films and explosions.
This movie is them on point almost the entire way through! It's as if their best sketches are just streaming one after another after another. I was so embarrassed for them at embarrassing times I had to cringe and turn away.
I laughed so hard I could hardly keep my seat I just wanted to get up and run around the theater. Even the story line which is generally predictable for those types of comedy/spoof type movies is less predictable than you'd expect, Key and Peele style.
I have kids so I don't get to the theater very often but I had to had to see K & P on opening night and it was everything I ever dreamed of having in a K & P movie. It's RAD you guys go see it but only if you want to laugh hard and be thoroughly entertained.
