Review of Kangaroo Jack (2003) by Dylan D — 02 Apr 2007
A surprisingly dull and unfunny "comedy" that seems to drag even in its short running time.
There isn't much to say on this film. The plot speaks for itself. Jerry O'Connell's mob money gets stolen by a partly computer generated kangaroo. Now if there was a certain amount of charm interwoven with the ridiculous plot, the whole film could be viewed as "mildly amusing".
However, with the whole film revolving on getting the cash back fromt the kangaroo, annoyance is quickly aroused by viewers, including myself.
This truly is a braindead comedy which requires absolutely no thought to understand jokes or some clever sarcasm. What you see is what you get, and the title alone is enough to steer viewers clear of this horrid mess.
