I loved the book, and the movie was wonderful as well. Kyoko Fukada and Anna Tsuchiya were an excellent duo and suprisingly good as they're mostly pop stars. The other characters added to the quirky flavor of this movie.
The Unicorn was the epitome of a Yankee; Akinori Isobe was delightfully effeminate and the grandmother was the perfect crazy old lady. I loved this movie.
