Review of Kalifornia (1993) by Leanne K — 09 Sep 2011
This goes to show why Brad Pitt is a spectacular actor. Here he creates a character driven by pure evil rather than madness or insanity. The film has fun with its pace and security within the violence and characters.
Despite flaws (ex: Noticing the trick bar that makes a car crash in the opening scene and the lack of Brian's early realization of the evilness of Early's attitude) the film is a success. Though the film feels illogical at start, it progresses into something thrilling and intimidating, while exploring sexuality and humanity.
