Review of Kagemusha (1980) by Luciano P — 23 Oct 2008
Its speed softly invite the spectator to rise his attention, gradually, gently, to the renewal of life, which is the substitution of a clan to another, not only the death of the oldest, and the hymn of progress.
Parallelism with gun powder substitution of swords, differences from the collegial old clan and individualist new one, the details, the light... everytimes I see Dersu Uzala, I cry for him; everytimes I see Kagemusha, I feel to become him, like his sosia.
This film should be explained in every world higher school.
