Review of Kaboom (2010) by Carlos G — 27 Mar 2011
Thomas Dekker is a perfect lead for an Araki movie. He's a college student who is undecided in his studies and sexual orientation. He'll sleep with anybody in his immediate vicinity, but when he begins to unravel a secret about his family history, nobody around him is safe.
Gregg Araki is back to mining the themes and styles of his earlier work like "Totally Fucked Up", "The Doom Generation" and "Nowhere." If you've ever wondered what a pansexual apocalypse might look like, it's here on full display.
