Review of Justice League: War (2014) by Nicole S — 17 Sep 2014

A wicked alien despot is looking to conquer the Earth. Easily besting conventional military defense, the only barrier between this fiend and his goal are a ragtag group of superheroes who aren't sure if they can even exercise proper teamwork.

Like the comic books it adapts, this feature is basically a 90-minute fight scene that's occasionally broken up by pseudo-scientific exposition or some quippy dialogue. The fights are, however, very well-animated and some of the barbs between Batman and Green Lantern merit a chuckle.

There are certainly worse cartoon brawls to watch than this one.
