Review of Justice League: War (2014) by Jon C — 18 Nov 2017
An action-packed, extravaganza.
More of DC's animated action-packed rides.
It doesn't take a breath the whole time but it's interesting seeing the birth of the team of defenders in the DC universe.
People are upset and afraid of these beings existing in their world causing all kinds of damage but when an alien invasion arrives they decide to form an unlikely alliance to stop it.
Minions called Parademons have been abducting people for their leader, Darkseid harvesting their DNA to make super soldiers.
It looks like Superman is the key to it all.
Now Batman, Flash, Wonder Woman, Captain Adam, and newcomer Cyborg go in an all out war to save mankind.
I like how Cyborg gets the most development here; his father is a workaholic, neglectful, and more interested in scientific breakthrough feeling that his son Victor playing sports will be meaningless compared to the super-powered beings inhabiting today's world.
Great voice actors per usual, fun action scenes, and Darkseid makes for an almost unbeatable enemy.
Yeah they're not friends and they don't use the same approaches when battling but they can still be a part of something if any apocalyptic events takes shape again.
The film never slows down yet it's still so much fun.
