Review of Justice League vs. Teen Titans (2016) by Kashif B — 14 Apr 2016

After finishing the movie and thinking about it - there's more good than bad to enjoy about this one. The story's overall plot actually is a storyline that hasn't really been tackled yet in a DC animated story - and it's completely welcomed in a story like this. Is it flawless? Absolutely not; there are countless instances where the viewer can ask "well, can't this character do this ---, which means this can be solved by this ---?".

Despite all of it, JLvsTT manages to be a good return to form thanks to the overall fun factor of its premise. Go into this feature knowing that the eventual "Titular Fight" isn't ACTUALLY between the Justice League and Teen Titans. No - this is a battle of who can prevail amongst the ongoing internal chaos that hasn't been properly handled/dealt with.

Harmless, with a GREAT score, perfectly animated, and just overall fun - JLvsTT manages to succeed this time, but it still overall manages to be an 'okay-good' experience due to its still shallow storytelling. I can't even go without mentioning the movie's awful carnival scene and it's hilariously-terrible "Power Rangers Transform" scene. Both dragged down this one to just above average for me.
