Review of Justice League: Gods and Monsters (2015) by Dario R — 03 Aug 2015
I've been collecting the DC animated films for awhile now, and I can say that this film is my top five. This film gives you a different take (or alternate universe) on DC's three main heroes; Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman.
They are still heroes, but more griddy and willing to bend the rules for justice; even willing to kill for it. Probably not best for children to watch, this film was made for the adult in mind. I like the new origin stories for each of the heroes, and I really liked that Superman identified with the Mexican culture, you can even say he was Hispanic.
This is a bold new telling of the Justice League that really works, and adds another layer to DC's three main heroes. Recommend this film.
