Review of Justice League Dark (2017) by Bryan D — 05 Feb 2017
While Marvel is, in my opinion, the King of live actions it is DC who has been putting a lot more effort into their animated series. Justice League Dark at one time was supposed to be a live action film, entitled "Dark Universe" directed by Guillermo del Toro. That fell through, and supposedly the story for this is based upon an early screenplay.
To be honest I don't see the reason for the R rating, but it is the second DC animated film to carry one. My only other complaint would be the animation is a little weak and inconsistent.
Otherwise, we get to see characters not often seen such as Swamp Thing, Constantine and Boston Brand.
While Marvel is making a come back with the excellent Star Wars: Rebels and the upcoming Spider Man Disney XD series, I hope they step up their game to match DC.
