Review of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) by G C — 24 Jun 2018
Strong points.
- cinematography.
- dinosaur movement.
- direction.
- good introduction.
Weaknesses.
- contradictions with the previous film.
- texture of dinosaurs.
- lazy writers.
- suitably idiotic characters.
- villains, with predictable endings.
- dinosaurs as weapons of war (seriously? again?).
- predictable resolutions.
- dinosaurs smiling (yes, smiling) maliciously.
- some scenes go beyond what our disbelief can bear.
It's always fun to watch dinosaurs rushing and eating people, but the simple storyline and the excess of exaggeration in some scenes leave the viewer with a bittersweet taste in the mouth, unfortunately.
For me, the last straw, was the dinosaur smiling, I wanted the terror and raw intelligence of the raptors in the first films.
