Review of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) by Jonathan A — 24 Jun 2018

Waited to watch on blu ray because of the awful previews and early word of mouth. I always expect movies to be better than the "average" audience score. Fallen Kingdom was so much worse. Not a single character has a meaningful arc in this film.

Instead of awe and wonder, the creatures in FK are tortured and killed while we are forced to watch. The one interesting and new premise in the movie was completely dropped on the audience and then left lay on the floor.

The villains of the film, both human and creature, were so thin and completely uninteresting to the point of being of being the mustache-twirling variety (at one point one of the dinosaurs actually sneers).

All of this is such an even bigger crime because of the potential, the budget, the actors, and universe readily existing for a great sequel. I wish I could unsee this movie.
