It's already a script for a summer blockbuster, which tend to be pretty weak, but they tossed in some really awkward social justice of the 'save the animals' and 'girl power' variety that was just so out of place that it stuck out like a sore thumb.

Hollywood, that makes a bad movie even harder to watch. There is a ways to do these things, and there are ways not to do them.
