Review of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) by Laodike B — 28 Jul 2018

I watched the movie yesterday in 3D despite various negative reviews on the cinema's homepage. In the beginning of the movie I was highly concerned that the movie might turn out just as bad as I has been warned, because it was dramatically unrealistic in many scenes (yes, even a movie where dinosaurs return from extinction should at least provide a minimum of realism) and it was taking up pace way too fast in my opinion.

It kept getting better towards the end, and certainly had some iconic scenes. Overall, the movie lacked the witt of the prior films, was kinda dark and lacked the iconic fun deaths by dinosaurs. If I had to cite a memorable quote from the movie, I couldn't come up with any.

For a die-hard Jurassic Park fan who grew up with the series it was still a nice movie, but one is also glad it was the last one.
