Review of Jupiter Ascending (2015) by Jeremy S — 07 Sep 2015
Featuring some admittedly impressive visuals (at times), an incredibly entertaining performance from Eddie Redmayne, and little else, Jupiter Ascending's ambition is mostly for naught considering its stilted performacnes from everyone but Redmayne, mercilessly padded and poorly edited action, dialogue that fluctuates between clunky and gratuitous exposition/worldbuilding that never pays off, and awful pacing.
Definitely one of 2015's worst. Verdict: D.
