Review of Junebug (2005) by Brett B — 13 Jun 2008
Every so often, there comes a movie that shakes your roots and puzzles your brain, just like this one. Deliciously weird. You wait most of the movie for something to happen to George and/or his wife; and when the movie ends, you realize that what happened to them occurred inside, not outside, and that is why you think nothing happened.
A really brilliant drama full of spectacular performances from the entire cast, especially the actress playing Ashley.... you initially laugh at her, then you sympathize with her, and finally fall in love with her.
I'm very glad I got to enjoy this movie. Caution: you need to use your brain when watching this film.
