Review of Junebug (2005) by Emma B — 01 Mar 2010
This wasn't what I expected at all. Amy Adams is absolutely brilliant in it, which just further adds to the shame that she's in Leap Year. Some of the performances were a little poor and the story was weak and didn't go in the right direction, I felt.
The characters recovered too quickly on the surface from the disaster towards the end. I know they wanted to give a 'life goes on' message, but it felt a little emtionally harsh. Generally enjoyable though, and an excellent soundtrack.
