Review of Junebug (2005) by Katie B — 12 Jul 2010
Amy Adams' Oscar-nominated (and worthy) role as a bright and cheerful pregnant woman shines and is worth viewing in this quirky, funny and powerful sleeper drama about family, loss, and choice. Though it does include some unnecessary sex scenes and language (plus the ending kind of leaves you questioning), there's some stuff to talk about; most notably the notion of spirituality and the work of God in various characters' lives.
An interesting film overall.
