Review of Junebug (2005) by Cancelled U — 28 Jan 2008
The one star is for Amy Adams's performance, whose character was the high point of the movie for me. I honestly hated this film; it was slow-moving and I had a horrible time liking any of the characters (except for Adams's character, who I found heartbreaking and wanted so desperately to see flee the disfunctional family).
The ending was awful. I walked away from the film disgusted with the main character and her husband and thinking that there was truly no resolution whatsoever.
