Review of Jumping the Broom (2011) by Maggie O — 10 Dec 2018
This movie had a lot of potential but it did not live up to its potential. The cast had a lot of chemistry but there were to many characters to develop this right. I never felt like I got to know any of them truly.
Jessica the main characters story seemed all over the place and the resolution of the end seemed rushed. I think it would have been better if the focused more on the relationship between the mothers and their kids.
The side characters did not need to have there stories told because they all ended flat. Also I would have like the tradition of the jumping of the broom established more. Itâ(TM)s worth a watch if youâ(TM)re bored and nothing else is on but overall it did not live up to the expectations I had for it.
