In typical Whoopi Goldberg movie fashion, her likability and crazy wardrobe carry the plot through an interesting Act 1, slow Act 2 and rushed, action-packed and forgettable Act 3. This is among the class of films that would today be ruined by the Internet, because she could've just Googled the lyrics to Jumpin' Jack Flash instead of staying up half the night trying to understand Mick Jagger.
