This film is all set up. It gives you hints as to what is gonna happen in parts 2 and 3. I'm not comparing the two, but if you think about how Fellowship of the ring set up the other two LOTR films, this is the same.
People say it didnt have enough scope etc. but thats just because its pacing itself over 3 films. The action was great and so was Jamie Bell.
