A childhood favorite. Watched it dozens of times. Watched it again recently, and still has some magic for me. The cheese and camp is there, but the special effects are really well done and it transmitted me the feeling of traveling between dimensions and being afraid of any danger lurking in any corner at any moment. This may be Johnston's best film.
