Review of Juliet of the Spirits (1965) by Ben W — 02 Feb 2009
Another beautiful film from fellini. not to mention one of my all time favorite actresses, giulietta masina. she and her character both are so full of life. the character of juliet is so conflicted and at times its hard to know whether her visions are simply reverie or if something is actively trying to communicate with her.
and if it is the latter what is it? her subconscious? an actual spirit? god? etc.? the colors are amazing.
