Review of Juliet, Naked (2018) by Legendarylass — 14 Dec 2018
Like most Hornby protagonists, Hawke's Tucker Crowe (we see what you did there, Nick, easy does it) manages to be sympathetic and charming despite his old-fashioned rock star privilege and Hawke's performance rises to meet the writing.
Unfortunately, O'Dowd is wasted as a plot device and Byrne (ostensibly the lead protagonist) seems to a passenger most of the film rather than an active participant (and why is she never allowed to use her own accent? Ever?).
