Review of Julien Donkey-Boy (1999) by James L — 15 Jun 2006
So this film is supposed to be "cutting-edge" and "artistic". Simply because someone had the intention of creativity, and really, really, wanted to be clever does not just make it so.
I suggest this film for when you're a bit shitfaced, lonely, sad, and need something to do without doing anything. If you like this a lot, you probably also love Woody Allen. Me? I can respect 2 maybe 3 of Woody Allen's films.
Keep in mind, respecting doesn't mean I enjoyed watching them so much. And I certainly did not enjoy Donkey-Boy too much at all.
