Review of Julien Donkey-Boy (1999) by Lauren R — 10 Mar 2008
A fractured and maddening fever dream made all the more chaotic due to Korine's stubbornness: he forces his film into a very precise mold where there's hardly a trace of narrative cinema to be found.
There's more Stan Brackhage in Julien Donkey Boy than there is Orson Welles, or even Lars Von Trier.
