This is a somewhat entertaining film. It has two great performances (Streep and Tucci). But the film's two separate plotlines do not mesh well together and seem forced. The overall structure of the film could have been a lot better.
It does not come close to deserving the nomination it received for a "Best Picture" Oscar.
