Two true stories are intercut as we both follow Julia Childs' rise to cookery fame after WWII and post 9/11 Julie as she tries to cook all her books recipes in a year. A quite typical Ephron movie with nice performances from Streep and Adams.
The story thankfully avoids the biggest "women-movie" cliches and overall we are dealing with a movie with heart and laughs to keep you interested.
