I watched Jules et Jim a few weeks ago as part of my course. At first I didn't really enjoy the film too much, I felt that there was something missing from it and the ending completely took me by surprise.
However, after discussing it with classmates and my tutor, I reflected on the film and came to the conclusion that I did in fact enjoy the film. It was just that I hadn't seen anything before similar to it, so it was strange to me.
Jules et Jim is witty, tragic and fun all at once. I recommend this film.
