Tupac may over shadow him, but Omar Epps busts on to the scene with authority. It may have not been his first role but I'm sure it's the one his agents pointed to when selling him for roles in his early career.

Juice with Boyz N The Hood and Menace II Society gave birth the honest portrayals of growing up in the hood. Black kids from the projects finally had a voice and these movies showed the world that there was a world of violence going on in their backyards and sometimes good kids get mixed up in fucked up situations where a gun seems the only way out.

3 out 4 fit this description. The 4th, he's a little dangerous. Bishop, played by Tupac Shakur in his first starring role, is a powder keg that WANTS to explode. Early in flick, it shows a softer side of Bishop that indicates, he's not all bad.

But compared to him, the rest of the "Wrecking Crew" are perfect little angels. There is a reason Pac overshadows Epps... he's mesmerizing. He is such a natural in front of the camera that not only was the world robbed of his music, poetry and forward thinking, we were also robbed of what could've been a multiple award winning actor.

The man loved Shakespeare. Shakes was as big influence on him as any rapper or musician. Can you imagine Tupac as Hamlet at the Royal Shakespeare Theater?! It would've happened. And it would've been glorious.

I only wish Dickerson let us get to know the "Crew" a little better. Juice is a magnificent movie, not quite as powerful as Boyz or shocking as Menace but certainly deserves to in their groundbreaking company.
