Review of Juice (1992) by Robyn N — 07 Dec 2012
The real attraction (with all do respect) " to this badly dated" directorial debut by Ernest Dickerson is the electrifying performance of Tupac Shakur. He had a real commanding and volatile presence that carried the storyline to it's finale.
Four friends from Harlem looking for a way to get the respect of the streets, whether it be by crime, or a long shot by making it in the rap game. A showcase for prominent rap stars of the time, a fine performance by Omar Epps as well, and look for a young Samuel L.
Jackson as the arcade manager.
