Review of Joy Ride (2012) by Tim G — 03 Jan 2010
This was amazing. I'm well aware it was a cheap horror flick that had no real resolution, but still I say, this was amazing. Compared to the gory, boob-filled horror that hollywood has begun to adopt, this RELATIVELY gore-free and completely boob-free flick relies 100% on suspense and jump scares, which is exactly what I was looking for when I sat down.
Steve Zahn is always great in any role for any reason, and Paul Walker is usually pretty reliable in terms of panicked reactions, so the two made a perfect combo. I was literally pulling my hair out at the climax of the movie, there was alot of panic there at the end.
I recommend this to anyone who enjoyed "When a Stranger Calls", "Swimfan", "Wrong Turn", "Red Eye", and the like.
