Review of Joy Ride (1958) by Helen E — 25 Sep 2009

Duel meets The Hitcher...but not quite as good as either of those films. Started off great, there was suspense, bit of comedy but then took a slight nosedive into sillyness. The plot seemed to change completely somewhere in the middle, it seemed like a different film.

...I didn't like how the truck driver was revealed. Wasn't a total disaster though, still entertaining enough and I was really quite glad there was a happy ending as the characters are very likeable.

Its definitely worth a watch, especially for fans of suspense.
