Review of Joy (2015) by Filipe C — 15 Jan 2016
Sometimes knowing who made a film is not a good thing. 'Joy', starring the excellent but miscast Jennifer Lawrence, would have felt like a better movie to me if I didn't know that it came from the man whose last three films were 'The Fighter', 'Silver Linings Playbook' and 'American Hustle'.
This one just doesn't have the same zing to it.
