Review of Journey to the Centre of the Earth (1977) by Normababy — 08 Aug 2008
Not as epic as Mason's other Jules Verne pic, 20,000 leagues, but still pretty cool. Mason is always good even when he phones it in and Pat Boone is fine as the earnest assistant, Thayer David is a great sleazebag and Arlene Dahl is pretty hot as well.
The guy who played Hans was an Icelandic athlete who never made another film (in spite of many offers) and who died a couple of years ago. I'm assuming Gertrude the Duck is long gone as well.
