Journey to the Center of the Earth é o primeiro filme a mostrar, verdadeiramente, do que o 3D é capaz. Os cenários do filme são deslumbrantes e diversificados, além dos efeitos visuais que os contemplam, que nunca se mostram artificiais por um segundo que seja.
Infelizmente, o enredo é extremamente pedestre e só serve de apoio para trazer a experiência 3D. Irá certamente agradar as crianças, mas os graúdos irão sentir-se obrigados a abandonar o cinema.
