This film does suffer from a very cheesy and predictable storyline. Emotional moments fall flat due to the fast pace of the film. I've seen many variations of this popular story on TV and this version is average for the most part.
It's a sci-fi film that just isn't very good. Despite it's flaws though, I have to admit, I was mildly entertained by it.
