Review of Joshua (2006) by Tony P — 25 Feb 2008
One of the most painful slow burns I've ever endured. It's incredibly terrifying and dismal. The performances are great, it was nice to see Sam Rockwell play a relatively normal and genuine person.
There are moments in the movie that are unforgivably inconcievable, like the revealing home movie proudly labeled and placed in the family's video library. Also, none of the jumpy-scary moments were successful.
Plenty of good marks for story, not so many for storytelling.
